External display no longer recognized after Updating from Mac OS 10.14.0 to 10.14.1

Mac Book Pro connecting to Display EIZO FlexScan EV3237-BK through CalDigit TS3 Dock

Mac Book Pro to Dock via USB-C, Dock to EIZO FlexScan over Display Port 1.2, DP HPD 'on'.

EIZO FlexScan was selected as Primary Screen, Built-In Mac Book Pro Display as Secondary Screen.

Problem:

With mac os 10.14.0 no problems at all. External display detected after successful login.

After updating to mac os 10.14.1, the Mac Book Pro does not even try to contact external display after successful login.

When disconnecting USB-C from Mac Book Pro to Dock and pluging it in again, the Mac Book Pro apparently tries to use external display: the screen gets black, the touch bar briefly shows 'Mirror Display' 'Extend Display' options but then after a one or two tries the Mac Book Pro Built-In Display comes back again with no other display shown (confirmed through opening system preferences, Displays and no option for external display shown).

Exact same behaviour when Mac Book Pro to Dock is staying connected and i remove display port cable from Dock and plug it in again.

Already tried SMC reset, no effect, still same issue.

Solved by resetting NVRAM and connecting to other Display Port slot on the monitor.
