USB-C Docking station with MBP 16 inch

Hello,

I'm having trouble in using a Dell WD19 USB-C docking station with my Macbook Pro 16. Power delivery works fine, same as the docking ports but the display connected to the Dock won't show any image, it just stays black. If i go to System Preferences -> Display i can see the 2nd display connected. If i unplug the dock and plug it back in lots of times (20+) the external display starts showing the image.

The weird thing is that i use the exact same setup, docking + external display with a 2019 MBP 15 as well, and i never had a problem. Both systems are running the latest version of the OS.

Any idea on how to fix this issue?

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! I see you're having trouble with a docking station with your new MacBook Pro, and I'd like to do what I can to help.

I'd suggest following the steps in the this article, and then if you're still having the same issue, contact the docking station manufacturer for additional assistance. There may be a compatibility issue, or firmware needed to work with the newer Mac.
