I have an issue

My music keeps randomly pausing and Siri keeps randomly popping up, but only when my EarPods are plugged in. Is it time for a new pair or is it an easy fix?

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11), Actual OS is unknown

First thing to try is to clean the controls on the EarPods. Next clean the port where they are plugged in on your iPhone.
