Print Wallet Size Photos

Why in 2018, is it still not easy to print Wallet Size photos in the Photos for Mac app?

There should be a setting that allows you to 4-up a photo on a 4" x 6" or 5" x 7" photo paper, no borders, no margins, etc.

The Contact Sheet option allows you to select multiple photos, but won't provide a border-less or margin-less option.

This is so frustrating and a big waste of photo paper trying to print out our kid's school pictures that we got digitally.

Apple, please make this easier. It seems like it would be a pretty simple fix and something that customers would appreciate.

It used to be rather easy to print 4 up wallet sized on 5 x 7 stock. However, with Photos 4.0 I can't get the crop size to work at custom sizes like 3.5 x 2.5 or 3.25 x 2.25.

However, if you have Pages it's quite easy to print 4 up.

1 - set page size in Pages to 5 x 7.

2 - using the Media browser in Pages go to the Photos library, select and double click on the first photo to add it to the page.

3 - select the photo and drag one corner to resize it to the size you need.

4 - select the next photo and repeat.

5 - if you want to do multiples of one photo select the photo you've already resized and duplicate it. Move to its position and continue.

If you don't have Pages but have an image editor that handles layers you can do the same thing with it.

Not so much. That's just a lot of pictures of 13 of us. But when we're all around the table at Christmas it seems like a lot. Especially when we include our extended family. The most we had one year was 33. It felt like we were running a soup kitchen. 🙂
