Mac mini Mojave: How can I connect my Apple 30" Cinema Display to the new Mac mini (2018)?
Is there an adapter for HDMI to DVI dual link (24+5pol.) which will work?
Or can I use Thunderbolt 3 > Thunderbolt 2 Adapter on top of DVI dual link to Display port adapter?

There are no HDMI to dual-link DVI adapters. There are some that use dual-link DVI connectors but they are only single-link.
The Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt adapters won't work with display adapters or displays (except Thunderbolt displays).
You need a USB-C to Mini DisplayPort adapter

to use with a Mini DisplayPort to dual-link DVI adapter (don't forget to plug in its USB cable).
(Many USB-C to Mini DisplayPort adapters don't support DVI adapters. The one I linked says it does support them.)
After much frustration I am delighted to report that I have found a solution for getting my 27" Apple LED Cinema Display (the one with the mini displayport male + magsafe power connectors) with the new Mac mini. Yes, sure! I ordered the above recommended USB-C to Mini DisplayPort adapter, next week the new Mac mini will be delivered. I will let you know soonest if this okay and works.
Terrific. I just ordered one. I found that I could also drive the display via an OWC Thunderbolt2 dock, so I have a workaround until the adapter arrives.

what do you think about my positive report, the US adapter mentioned from Malcolm works fine, the ACD starts as a only one monitor!

Exactly what adapters are you using? DVI to HDMI adapters aren't used with the 30" display.
The one sold at the Apple website. That would be frustrating if Apple did not provide that information and give appropriate direction.
HDMI adapters won't work with the 30" display. See the first reply in this thread for the correct adapters.
