Mac mini Mojave: How can I connect my Apple 30" Cinema Display to the new Mac mini (2018)?
Is there an adapter for HDMI to DVI dual link (24+5pol.) which will work?
Or can I use Thunderbolt 3 > Thunderbolt 2 Adapter on top of DVI dual link to Display port adapter?

This is my connection set up (left to right):
1. Power
2. USB-C port: (silver) Topelek adapter driven by Apple Mini-DP to Dual Link Adapter (MB571Z/A), connected to Apple 30"
3. USB-C port: (black) cable direct to Eizo display port
4. USB-3 port: to HD
5. USB-3 port: to USB-2 hub, into which is plugged the USB-2 cable from the Apple adapter (MB571Z/A)

Thank you so much for this information. I wish that I had seen it, as it may have altered my purchase decisions, and I wish Apple had been more informative, but maybe that is not in their best interest.
Can you give us a feedback when you have received your new Mac mini ?
Yes, sure! I ordered the above recommended USB-C to Mini DisplayPort adapter, next week the new Mac mini will be delivered. I will let you know soonest if this okay and works.
Terrific. I just ordered one. I found that I could also drive the display via an OWC Thunderbolt2 dock, so I have a workaround until the adapter arrives.

I just received my 2018 Mac mini and connected it to my 30" Apple Cinema Display, along with the USB connection for the keyboard and mouse. I had tried (as a check) using the display with my MacBook Pro (11,5 mid-2015 version) with the Apple DVI to HDMI and it worked, but I did not try connecting the USB cable for keyboard entry.
With the 2018 Mac mini, using the same Apple adaptor and connecting the USB cable for keyboard and mouse, all I see is the light that says that the Mac mini and the display are receiving power. The display is blank.
I bought the display in December 2005, so, I probably should not expect compatibility at this stage, as some of my software programs have also been orphaned with the most recent OS updates.
I have ordered new peripherals, including a monitor, as I am guessing that I finally have to move on, given my infrequent use of this monitor and computer compared to my laptops. That may change.
I got a 2018 Mini and tried to hook it up to a 30" Cinema. It doesn't work as others have noted. Today I spoke with an Apple support person and was told it definitely will not work and there is no adapter solution available.
@Beamengine: just to be sure I understand, you have a working 30" Cinema (at full resolution) connected to a 2018 Mini using the TOPELEK adapter from Amazon? I ask because of what the Apple rep said.

Exactly what adapters are you using? DVI to HDMI adapters aren't used with the 30" display.
The one sold at the Apple website. That would be frustrating if Apple did not provide that information and give appropriate direction.
