Recent upgrade to Mojave, now run out of memory application

I have a 2015 iMac that I had been running el capitan up until recently. . .I had no issues while running on el capitan and I would have multiple applications open simultaneously. . . however earlier this week I upgraded to Mojave and since then I've been getting a "force quit prompt as my computer has run out of memory application". . . . this message has been happening daily, and it doesn't seem to matter what is or is not open on the computer. I saw a thread that recommended downloading and running EtreCheck. I've done so, but I'm not sure how to proceed from here. Can anyone help diagnose from my report and tell me what should be my next steps? Thank you in advance!

This is what is going on with me as well!! I have the same version as you I am assuming by the look of it. I have downloaded so many cleaners and everything and thats when I saw the memory error. When I was running a cleaner. It told me that mail was taking up like 60% of it. Which I thought was rather odd. I cannot do anything on my computer it took me three hours to edit two photos yesterday. Im going insane with this spinning beach ball. Even when I leave one application open it does it.

Wow, thanks for the breakdown and information. . . so i actually don't have mackeeper or any cleaner apps, you may have gotten confused with the person that replied above with a similar issue . . .besides upgrading the RAM . . . how do i take care of the nonsensical plists and thoses two nonsensical processes? . . . should i just delete the files? or is there another way to go about resolving these nonsensical things. . . should i wipe my mac and restart anew? Again thank you for your help!

Here are some observations/findings from the report:

Major Issues:

Heavy CPU usage - Some processes are using an unusually high amount of CPU.

Minor Issues:

Apps crashing - There have been numerous app crashes.

Apps with heavy CPU usage - There have been numerous cases of apps with heavy CPU usage.

System modifications - There are a large number of system modifications running in the background.

Heavy I/O usage - Your system is under heavy I/O use. This will reduce your performance.

There are a number of processes that are running that are overtaxing your iMac's CPU. As such, you will notice moderate to severe impact to normal operations.

Hardware Information:

1 3.5 GHz Intel Core i5 (i5-4690) CPU: 4-core

8 GB RAM - Upgradeable

You iMac's overall performance will be somewhat limited due to an i5 processor and only 8 GB of RAM. I would suggest that you, at least, upgrade the RAM to 16 GB to run all of these apps.

Launch Agents:

[Not Loaded] com.puler.plist (? 0 - installed 2017-03-21)

[Not Loaded] com.XKFOmpCk.plist (? 0 - installed 2017-01-02)

[Not Loaded] com.rcivsutpfkds.plist (? 0 - installed 2016-12-27)

etc...

There are a number of "nonsensical" plists that are installed. My guess is that this may be due to potential system "infections" by using BitTorrent. Also, "cleaner" apps tend to cause more issues than solving them. I would recommend that you completely remove MacKeeper as macOS has a built-in capability to keep things clean.

Top Processes by CPU:

Process (count) Source CPU Location
eGepRnvZ ? 98.62 % /Library/eGepRnvZ/eGepRnvZ.app
QijccBRY ? 98.18 % /Library/QijccBRY/QijccBRY.app
mds Apple 14.88 %
logd Apple 11.10 %
kernel_task Apple 9.08 %

The first two processes are examples of these nonsensical processes that are hammering your iMac's CPU.

Basically, from what I can tell, upgrading to Mojave was not the reason for the performance slow down. Instead, I believe your iMac has been compromised and has a number of adware/malware "infections" residing on it to be the real culprit.
