I recently bought a new computer. My iTunes library has been stored on an external hard drive for several years. When I try to find the library when the drive is connected to my new computer, iTunes doesn't show my library. How do I get iTunes to recognize my library location? I have a Windows 10 PC.

Typically the iTunes Library.itl file would be inside <User>/Music>/iTunes where <User> is the path to the user profile folder. If you have the entire library and not just the media folder on the external drive then it might be inside the iTunes folder on the external drive. If you don't have it, and cannot retrieve it from the old computer then make a new iTunes library as X:\iTunes where X: is the drive letter of your external, move your media folder inside the iTunes folder, renaming as iTunes Media if necessary, then import the folder iTunes Media to the library.
