Don’t get notifications

I have a iPhone 8 iOS 12.0.1 and I’m having issue with text message app. It wont notify me when I get a message. Don’t show noti when the iPhone is lock no banner when I’m using another app. Nothing 😟 I have try reset factory defaul, hard reset, erase all, I have check do not disturb I have check the notifications option. I have check and do almost everything and still don’t get text messages notifications. Other apps I have no issue. Just with the text messages. Please help!

Hello Ynajra,

After reviewing your post, it sounds like you are not receiving notifications for text messages. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. One thing that it could be is if the option to receive quietly is enabled.


Manage notifications

To manage your notifications from the Lock screen or Notification Center:

  1. Swipe left over an alert or group of alerts.
  2. Tap Manage, then select from these options:

    Deliver Quietly: These notifications appear in the Notification Center, but don't show up on the Lock screen, play sounds, or show a banner or badge icon.

Use notifications on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Thanks a lot for replying to me. But the thing is that I don’t get any kind of notifications meaning that I don’t get anything on lock screen or as banners. I get zero notifications, I know I have text messages because I see the red number on top of the app. Other than that I don’t them on lock screen or anywhere else. But this start happening after I updated to iOS 12.0.1
