icloud installer states there is a problem with this installer package and unloads itself

I'm running windows 10 64 bit on a AMD Ryzen 5 processor, 1TB solid state drive. Windows 10 home is

Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134

Every time i try to install icloud for windows, the installer stops and states there is a problem with the install package. I've tried this under Edge, IE and Firefox. My PC is up to date.

iPod touch, Windows 7

If you've done all the steps in the article, the last thing listed there is to contact Apple Support . This is what I suggest now. Let us know if you're able to get it working.

Hi Linzimartine,

I followed all the steps described in the fix. Once finished I restarted my PC and then reinstalled iTunes and then attempted Icloud. I received the same windows installer package error. I'm running PCmatic in the background. I haven't had issued installing other programs with it running. Any suggestions?

I'd be happy to see a working solution for this, too.

I too followed all of the instructions (using the MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.cab) but nothing could help it.

So I'll have to contact the apple support, too.
