Dozens of instances of MTLCompilerService

I noticed a bit of slowness and a decrease in available memory and incidentally noted that I had >100 instances of MTLCompilerService running. Memory use by each is 2.5-52 MB, and CPU use is 0. Two were assigned to root, 2 to _windowserver, and the rest to my user account.

Any idea what could be doing this? It happens on two systems (a late 2013 Macbook and a 27" late 2013 iMac) on 10.14.1

Malware back at it - 600%. cpu 3rd time posting here and my MacBook is still at it. I did what everyone suggested so far by eliminating viruse checker and clean my Mac. I followed advice to disable sharing , file transfer, and basically stop all ports from being able to transfer files. I tried using the kill;, the defaults write com.apple.NetworkBrowser DisableAirDrop -bool YES, and other terminal commands. HOWEVER , nothing has worked. I still have process " sharedD" running . It just switches PIDS whenever I kill it . My Mac is STILL running at max cap because of some app or procress related to it . ( All sharing privileges of every kind have been switched off and firewalll is on ). How the do I find what's causing my cpu overload and/or stop "sharingd" .

Startup problems caused by YaraScanService? I recently upgraded to High Sierra (10.13.6) on an older Mac Mini and ever since startup usually hangs up. I can always shut down and restart normally after that. This morning after doing that I noticed that YaraScanService was running and consuming CPU resources. I did a web search and see that this process is part of Apple's Malware RemovalTool (MRT) that apparently is supposed to run after upgrading then delete itself. Is it possible that this process causes startup to hang? And if so, is there any way to correct this problem?

Mac running slow - Install Agent malware cleared by https://www.malwarebytes.com/ iMAC running like a snail. After much searching about and trying the usual clean ups noticed the drain on memory pressure in - Applications/Activity monitor. Install Agent is malware and in was taking up over 4 GB. Ran [Malwarebytes](https://www.malwarebytes.com/) free down load and cleared up this and several other lurking threats including residual MacKeeper stuff. The problem came on suddenly and not after any obvious downloads by me. No idea how it installed itself. Sorted :)
