Text replacement character limit?

I use the text replacement feature ALL the time and have found it to be a lifesaver. For work, I often type the same things over and over- often full paragraphs- when responding to emails and texts. But since 12.1, my longer replacements aren’t working anymore (my shorter ones are) and it’s incredibly frustrating. Has a character limit been added (or reduced) or is something just glitchy?
