Using iPad as a bluetooth receiver to wirelessly record conference calls

Good Day:

I am looking to use an iPad as a digital note taking device for use with conference calls. I plan to use the 'notability' app to sync recorded audio with handwritten notes. I would like to connect the iPhone to the conference phone, which has a 1/8" stereo audio output. I have successfully done this by adapting the 1/8" stereo plug and using an apogee jam 96K (https://www.apogeedigital.com/shop/jam-96k-lo) which connects to the iPad via the lightning port.

As an upgrade to this system, I would like to connect to the iPad wirelessly. Toward that end I have purchased a Taotronics TT-BA07 bluetooth transmitter (https://www.taotronics.com/taotronics-tt-ba07-bluetooth-4.1-transmitter-receiver -aptX.html). However, I'm having trouble getting this device to pair with my iPad. I have used the iPad as a source for audio with wireless headphones, but I've never used it as a bluetooth receiver - is this function possible?

Thanks for any feedback / suggestions.
