How to restore files from the time machine
I just got a new Macbook Pro and want to copy over some files from my Time Machine backup of my previous Macbook. How do I do it?
I don't see the time machine files in 'Network' in Finder.

You do not use Time Machine to transfer files from an "old" Mac to a "new" Mac, if that might be what you are thinking.
You would use Migration Assistant on your "new" Mac to transfer data from the backups of an old Mac to a new Mac. Migration Assistant is located as follows: Finder > Applications > Utilities > Migration Assistant
How to move your content to a new Mac - Apple Support
Since you have a new Mac, you have 90 days of free phone support from Apple. The Migration process is tricky for most users, so my suggestion would be to get with an Apple support person who can walk you through the process over the phone and handle any questions/issues that may arise during the process.
