Transfer from 7 Plus to XR
Trying to transfer from an iPhone 7 Plus to a iPhone XR. The 7 Plus was on 12.1.1 and the XR is on 12.1 so it won't let me transfer because the XR doesn't support 12.1.1 yet. Thoughts

This is a major issue, because iOS 12.1.1 has not yet been released!
So you are using Beta software.
You should transfer your old data to your new iPhone XR using released iOS software - on both ends.
Or you need to run the beta on the iPhone Xr.
Well I was on the beta and I removed the profile for the beta and backed up the phone again assuming they it would backup to the last non-beta version, that’s what I read online, but it still says 12.1.1

I would absolutely recommend not going immediately to beta software on your new device, assuming you're going to use it for your routine iPhone purposes, and not just as a toy that may break while experimenting with non-released software.

The problem the OP has is if they did not do an archived backup of their previous iPhone they have no backup to restore from. If they do put the new iPhone on the public beta and restore from the previous backup they can then follow the instructions to roll out of the Public Beta and still have their backup on the new iPhone with the publicly released iOS version.
