MacBook Air Battery Swelling

There was a previous post of this problem started all the way back in 2012 with a MacBook Air 2,2. Yesterday I found my MacBook Air 4,1 with the battery absolutely non-functional and the case beginning to swell.

Is this still a common problem with others? I thought I saw the MacBook Pros go through this quite a bit and are eligible for an exchange program.

May I suggest you take it in as quickly as possible before the swollen battery causes damage to other components. Do not use it until then.
