WiFi drops randomly after the upgrade to Mojave

Hi there,

after upgrading to macOS Mojave the Wi-Fi connection drops randomly. I tried disabling IPv6, but it didn't help. When I turn Wi-Fi off and on again, the connection is always back, but only for a while and then drops again. I have another Linux machine at home where the Wi-Fi connection is always stable, but it's completely random on my MacBook Pro. Could you please help me resolve the issue?

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, Slo501!

I understand you've noticed Wi-Fi frequently disconnects from your MacBook Pro after updating. I'd be happy to provide information to help you out.

Use the following article first: How to troubleshoot Wi-Fi connectivity
If the issue continues after trying those steps, use safe mode to troubleshoot: Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
Have a great day!

Hi Joseph,

thanks for useful suggestions. Unfortunately the information under the links you've shared didn't help resolving the issue. I've also run the Wireless Diagnostics, but no issues were found.

The Wi-Fi still disconnects frequently and I have to reconnect manually by turning the Wi-Fi off and on my MacBook Pro. I'm pinging my router simultaneously from two nodes: my MacBook Pro and my Linux box (it's a Dell XPS). Everything runs perfectly fine on the Linux machine even when the connection drops on Mac.

Any other ideas?
