Watch stuck on please continue setup with iPhone

I haven’t used my watch in months. When I turned it on it said please continue setup with iPhone. I held down the crown and proceeded to reset it. However my phone tells me it needs updated. I click on update now and then it tells me it is up to date. My watch is still stuck on continue setup with iPhone! It’s been paired and says it’s connected with my phone but I can’t do anything with it. Help!

I set my Apple Watch series 4 to update today. The update finished but the watch will not reload. It constantly tries to reboot. watch update I can not get my watch to update after updating my phone. I have tried since October 18th. It is now saying it is not close enough to the phone. It is fully charged sitting on the phone. Please help.
