My iPad dose not charge over 95%

My iPad will not charge over 95%. Why? Dose this really need to be difficult?

iPad Pro Wi-Fi, iOS 12.1

The iPad Pro will automatically manage battery charging. It is not uncommon for your iPad to regulate its maximum charge level, to something below 100%, when the iPad is predominantly connected to external power. This strategy is designed to protect the internal battery and to maximise its life.


If you are concerned, disconnect from external power - and just “use“ your iPad. Allow the battery to either discharge to the point that it switches off - or at least to a much lower level than you are accustomed to doing normally - prior to recharging. This should restore charging to 100%.
