I purchased my iPhone 8 plus in July 2018. I have been having trouble sending and receiving pictures in messages for a couple of months. Had to reset all settings and then it sent them but didn't receive. Now I am having the problem again. What could be the problem? Don't want to have to reset the phone constantly! My husband has an iPhone 6 plus and doesn't have this problem? Could I have a bad phone?

Hmm, that should not be a problem.
Do you have the same cellular carrier as your husband? Perhaps you have a carrier restriction. Are the messages iMessages (blue) or SMS messages (green)?
Can you send and receive messages with pictures to your husband and vice versa?
Use Messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you can‘t send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
