Why is there a red dot next to "Software Update"?

In settings, there's a red dot next to "Software update".

When I press on the red dot I'm taking to a screen that says "iOS 12 Downloaded". Pressing on it does nothing.

Below that area it reads "Learn More". When I press on this it tells me all the wonderful things about iOS 12. My iPad currently has iOS 11.4.1 installed. It is Model MK9P2LL/A

Any thoughts on this is appreciated.

I found the answer.

Basically, I had to delete the iOS 12 download and start again.
