So I purchased a couple albums of music on my iTunes account through the Itunes Store. The songs/albums even say ‘purchased‘ when you go back to the store. However, they won’t download onto any device of mine. They also don’t show in purchases either, which is also strange.
What happens when you try to download them ? If they aren't showing in the Purchased redownloading area check to see if you've hidden them from there : Hide and unhide music, movies, TV shows, audiobooks, and books - Apple Support
I'm having this exact problem, even worse. Because of duplicate items in Itunes and on my Iphone, I deleted the album off my phone and removed it from my library. Now when I go to the store to "re-buy" the album, and having "Itunes say, you already bought this do you want to download it?" It does not gibe me that option. It says in the drop down box below the album cover "purchased", but there is no way to download it.
The worse part is that when I navigate to purchased albums the album is not in the history!

Where are you seeing the word 'downloaded' ? That word would imply you already have it downloaded.
It appeared in the iTunes Store app in place of where the price would be. And it wasn’t downloaded at the time. Turns out it was just a simple hiding of purchases.
