Does HomePod pair with 3rd gen Apple TV?
Can I use a HomePod or a pair of HomePods as speakers with 3rd gen Apple TV? I hope so cause I’ve just ordered a HomePod!
iMac with Retina 5K display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)
I’ve just checked on my Apple TV 3rd gen and in settings under AirPlay it gives an option to stream audio to my AirPort express so I’m thinking that streaming to HomePod would be possibilty too.
I don’t have speakers connected to my Apple TV 3rd gen so I haven’t done a test.
Can anyone confirm this for me?
Also, was Apple TV 3rd gen updated for AirPlay 2?
