No audio output with wireless projector connection

I use EasyMP Network Projection software to connect wirelessly to a projector. Until about two weeks ago (before Yosemite OS came out) the connection stopped streaming sound through the projectors speakers. The video works but the sound only comes out of my laptops speakers (Macbook Air) and I don't see the projectors audio output show up in the sound control panel. I know the projector is not to blame because other people can use the projector and get sound out of it. I'm also getting an error upon opening the EasyMP software that says "You need to restart your computer to enable Audio Output" but restarting the computer makes no difference.

Steps taken to resolve issue:

Uninstalled and reinstalled the EasyMP software

Reset the SMC

Restarted the computer

Repaired file permissions with Disk Utility.

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are unable to have sound come out of a projector when you connect and use your MacBook Air with it. Since you have already tried some good troubleshooting, you can figure out if unexpected behavior is related to a user file or setting by trying to reproduce the issue from another user account. This process includes creating a new user account, logging in to it, and testing for the issue.
