Add people to multiple photos without a face?

Hi i've got many many photos where Photos has not even detected a person - they're too far away, or facing elsewhere etc...

I can see how you can add a person to a single photo, open photo and then info and then press Add Faces...

But... That entails dragging a face circle over a persons face, and teaching Photos to look for that pattern again, no need for that i just want to include that person as being present on the occasion.

Can this be done?

No, to get the photo into the people album of a person, you have to add the faces circle, if Photos did not find it automatically. have you waited long enough? Perhaps Photos did not yet finish the scan. It can take several days for a large library.

If the faces are missing, you could simply select all photos with the missing face and type a keyword with the name of the person into the Info panel. Then use a smart album with rule "keyword is ....". This will allow you o search for the person, but will not get the unnamed photos of the person into the people album.
