I can get one end of the band off but the other end will not release After many attempts of pressing the release button. Is the only solution to leave it with the Genius Bar for repair? And how much does that cost? Is their a special tool to use that is better than my thumb nail?
If your watch is one of the water resistant models give the reluctant band and release button a good flush with slightly warm water - not hot, but maybe about body temperature. You might also get a better result if you can find a small non metallic (non scratching) tool to press the release more firmly without breaking fingernails. A plastic or wooden cocktail stick might work.
I let just a little bit of water lubricate the band holding mechanism and it came off just with thumb pressure on the release button. Happy camper
