App Store fails to install Logic Pro X

I have a clean Mojave install on an early 2015 retina Macbook. I bought Logic Pro X through the app store but the installation is failing silently at about 75%. I've tried re-installing the OS (since I used the machine for development in the past), signing in and out of the App Store and restarting the machine between attempts. None of these things have worked. Other people seem affected as well:

Logic Pro Installation failed

During the attempted installation, the console shows the following error repeatedly:

error 19:30:19.644321 -0800 App Store [AppStateMachine]: 634148309: Denied state change. installing -> installing, rule: InstallingRules

After 28 attempts, the installation fails with the following message:

default 19:30:20.647447 -0800 appstoreagent [CommerceKitProgress]: Cancelled progress for com.apple.logic10

default 19:30:20.647563 -0800 appstoreagent [TaskManager]: Removing task for bundleID: com.apple.logic10 storeItemID: 634148309 isBackground: 0 with result: 100 (B)

error 19:30:20.649094 -0800 appstoreagent [CommerceKitProgress]: Task for com.apple.logic10 has failed with reason: 100

I would appreciate support from Apple on this given that the software is expensive and the issue is entirely within the Apple brand. Or, at least instructions on how to get my money back if there is no fix.

Thanks!

Logic Pro X, macOS Mojave (10.14.1)

Greetings sabeluc,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities! I understand you're unable to install Logic Pro X, as you mentioned the installation fails.

Nice job with the troubleshooting steps you've taken. To further isolate the behavior, I suggest attempting to install Logic Pro X with a different user account and while your Mac is in safe mode, as described in the following guides: How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac & Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac

Additionally, the following support article provides information on how to request a refund for the purchase: Get help with an item purchased from the App Store, iTunes Store, or iBooks Store

Let me know how it goes from here.

Kind regards.
