How do you left click on a MacBook

Trying to download Audacity and says I need to "left click"- cannot find out how to do that.

Audacity crash I was using Audacity when then computer crashed. It restarted, but when I tried to reopen an Audacity file, it said a version of Audacity was already running, but the icon does not show as open, so I can't force quit it. Anyone know what's going on? I'm using a MacBook Pro High Sierra 10.13.6.

post production noise gate Help! I am not terribly smart about Garage Band so be patient. I narrated a long book (24 hours (yeah I know I'm nuts)), audio files using Mac 11.1 Big Sur and GarageBand 10.4.2. Pre-production noise gate was set at -85dB. I converted the audio files to MP3 and submitted for publication. The audiobook failed, too much background noise, with the suggestion from ACX Audiobooks that I set noise gate to -64dB. I need to do this post-production as I have no desire to re-narrate the book. Do I just go into each chapter audio file and slide the noise gate to -64dB and then reconvert to MP3 file and submit...or am I missing something? I'm a writer and a story-teller (and a surgeon); I know nothing about sound production. Thanks in advance.

A left click is just a normal click.
