How do I turn off iMessage for individual contacts ?

Hello

My wife and I have iPhones and iPads. I have just swapped my iPhone 7 for an Android phone, and when I send an SMS to her, and she replies, it goes via iMessage to my iPad and not via SMS to my phone. I have set up a new contact on her phone with just my mobile number, and even sending an SMS to that means that it goes to my iPad and not to my Android phone.

Is there a way of forcing Messages to send to a particular contact via SMS ?

Since you no longer have an iPhone, you'll need to de-register from iMessage.
