Actually, there were no iPads released in 2007. The original iPad was released in 2010.

A1823 is the 9.7" fifth generation Wi-Fi/cellular iPad, released in 2017.

No iPad will work with a wired connection to any printer.

This is simply not possible with iPad hardware or iOS software.

It's a wireless print connection to an iOS Printer app with a computer companion app with a computer wired connected printer OR a newer printer that has the iOS AirPrint feature.

There is NO direct, wired printing to any printer from an iPad.

Sorry.

Why not post the actual website link so we can all examine it?

I bet this article is old. From like 2010 or 2011 where it may have been possible, at an earlier time an earlier iOS to do this.

Printing from a USB cable from an iPad has long been NOT possible.

I have been using iPad since the very first 2010 model.

Wired USB printing has long been abandoned and no longer a possibility, IF it ever worked in the first place.

Okay.

Read it.

Many things just generalised in this article.

iOS contains no printing features or drivers, so a wired USB connection will NOT work.

There is no list of what USB connected keyboards will work.

So, suspect that using a USB connected keyboard will be trail and error.

Some may draw too much power from the iPad's power supply. Some may not.

This article is not listing any specific devices and is being rather genralised and cagey about what will or won't work using Apple’s USB to Lightning adapter.

Same goes with audio devices. You would need to use microphones and other audio devices and hubs that state on their packaging that they can be used with iOS and iDevices.

The article is deceptive.
