Image Capture, Photos and Lightroom can't see photos on my iPhone since the Mojave update

I am trying to transfer photos from my iPhone X to my iMac but the photos are not recognized on any of my apps (Photos, image capture, Lightroom, etc...) My iPhone is recognized, just not the photos and videos. Only one video is recognized on all the apps, which I took yesterday. All others do not show up. Some photos have been previously downloaded to my iMac, but not all. I have tried all the tricks from other posts, My iMac is trusted by my iPhone, etc... Restarted both iMac and phone. still nothing. I haven't had any problems until the latest updates to both the iMac OS and IOS update.
