Flash "enabled" for Safari, but not actually working in browser?

Just bought an iPad pro (Nov. 2018) with the hope of doing homework on a more portable but still highly capable device. I guess not? Flash is "enabled" in my Safari Settings, but when I go to sites that require flash (like Sapling Learning), the browser won't actually load it the flash content (homework questions). Is there a way to figure this out, or should I move onto a different brand of device? I just received this product today, and if it is incapable of supporting my online homework, I will definitely have to look for another device while I still have the chance to return it - I'm just not sure if I'm doing something wrong myself.

To draw a parallel to another device, when I need to run flash on this site on my Macbook Pro, I click the button to the left of the URL, and make sure "Allow" is selected for Flash on this site. Is there a secret way of doing this on an iPad, other than in Settings, since I've already tried this?

It may be dying but is definitely not dead. I’m a student at a research university and unfortunately can’t choose which sites our assignments are on, and flash is incredibly common for STEM field assignments (I’m in my 3rd year at this point and know these sites won’t be dying within my time as a student). I just figured I’d check here to determine whether my settings are simply wrong, or if the iPad is actually incompatible. This is my first iPad so I’m new to the game. I’ve been using a MacBook Pro for a couple of years, which works perfectly fine for homework, but I wanted something less bulky to carry around campus and I figured that the iPad Pro would host the same browser capabilities. I’m super bummed because I otherwise enjoy the Apple ecosystem.

Adobe abandoned all attempts at a mobile version of Adobe Flash Player nearly 7 years, ago, after the introduction of the first, 2010 iPad.

It just never worked well.

It was an iOS/iDevice hardware/software hog and battery draining piece of software ( like it STILL is today even on more modern laptop/desktop conputers ).

Adobe could never modify and optimise it for ANY mobile platform, including iOS.

So, Adobe and Apple just gave up.

If you need Adobe Flash Player on iOS, there are a very few third party web browsers that support it by tapping anonymous servers that will “serve out/stream” the Adobe Flash Player content from a remote server location.

Ones I am aware of

Puffin Web browser

Photo Flash Player and Web browser
