It works like this way only as apple engineers have designed in this way only , we all here are just everyday Mac users and members in this community , perhaps your views can be sent as this link Feedback - iCloud - Apple
I know how to select all the contacts. My question was;
icloud Contacts exports a single vCard file containing all the vcards for each contact. When you open this combined file, only the 1st vcard opens. How do you open each vcard separately?
This hardly seems logical. If the instructions say to combine several contacts together into one vcf file, then why isn't there a way to then separate this file into the individual vcfs? What would be the sense in combining them if you can't access them individually after you save the file? Can you send this question out to others and see if anyone knows the solution?
In www.icloud.com if you hold shift key or a command key and tap the last contact all of them will be selected in All contacts , you can click on gear icon and export as v card .
Then export a single contact as a v card , once they are selected ( combined ) they are grouped and you can not separate them .
