We paid a large amount of money for our new phones but the facial recognition cannot tell the difference between my twin sister. I have tried resetting the phone and the facial recognition but it still doesn’t work. I don’t want to use a passcode every time. How can this be fixed?
If your sister is an identical twin there are no ways to fix the problem. The only difference between identical twins is fingerprints. Face ID measures the depths of your face. Sorry that you are having trouble.

It ***** because it’s a privacy issue and the facial recognition is a huge selling point of the phone. I would’ve stuck with my iPhone 6s, well even then her thumb finger print unlocked my phone as well. It’s hard to just accept it because this isn’t happening to other people and we are just out of luck if it does happen to us.
I am very sorry that this is happening to you and this is a privacy issue. Hopefully, Apple will continue to improve Face ID where this is no longer a problem. Apple does offer refund maybe you can contact Apple and sort something out. There are other people that have this problem in the Apple community. Maybe you can reach out to them and see if anything they have tried works.
