I have a new LG TV and an iPad Air, can I stream from my iPad to watch films?

I have a new LG TV and an iPad Air, can I stream films to watch on my TV from my iPad and if so what do I need to do in order to do this please ?

iPad Air 2 Wi-Fi, iOS 10.2.1, None

I don’t think you quite Understand my questio. I want to be able to stream films from my iPad to my TV ...some people have Google Chrome, or other such devices. I have an Apple iPad and I want to know if I can do the same ?
