Cannot verify billing info in Itunes
When I click on verify billing, the wheel starts but then goes away and I get nothing.
Could this have anything to do with a block on my credit? The credit card it not new.

I'm getting a "Software Update Required" when I try to verify billing info or update my account. I am running 64-bit Windows 8.1. Latest iTunes, and Windows is up to date.
On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
- Go to Settings > [your name] > iTunes & App Store.
- Tap your Apple ID, then tap View Apple ID. You might be asked to sign in.
- Tap Payment Information, then change or remove your information. To remove the payment method, select None. Get help if you don't see None or can't select it. Learn more about what payment methods are available in your country or region
- Make sure that your name and billing address exactly match the information on file with your financial institution, then tap Done.
On your Mac or PC
On your Mac or PC, you can edit your payment information in iTunes, on the web, in System Preferences (Mac), or using iCloud for Windows (PC).
In iTunes
To open iTunes and sign in to your Account Information page, click this link: View My Account. Or follow these steps:
- From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen or at the top of the iTunes window, choose Account > View My Account
- Sign in with your Apple ID.
- On the Account Information page, click Edit to the right of Payment Type. You can see which payment methods the iTunes Store accepts in the Payment Method section. If you're using Family Sharing, and purchase sharing is turned on, only your family organizer can update your payment information.
- Change or remove your information. To remove the payment method, select None. Get help if you don't see None or can't select it. Learn more about what payment methods are available in your country or region
- Make sure that your name and billing address exactly match the information on file with your financial institution, then click Done.
On the web
You can change to a different credit or debit card by signing in to your Apple ID account page. You might have to verify your payment method the first time you try to buy something on one of your Apple devices.
- To go to the Apple ID account page, click this link: View Apple ID.
- Sign in with your Apple ID. You might be asked to answer security questions.
- In the Payment & Shipping section, click the Edit button. If you're using Family Sharing, and purchase sharing is turned on, only your family organizer can update your payment information.
- Change your payment information. Learn more about what payment methods are available in your country or region.
- Make sure that your name and billing address exactly match the information on file with your financial institution, then click Save.
If you find you're not able to update your billing information using any of the methods above, or from any of your other devices, I recommend that you contact iTunes Support next.In System Preferences

You can't remove a payment method in System Preferences.
