Hi there, Charles B. Maybe I can help you. Yes, it should work. Of course, I haven't seen anything with DVI for a long time. But if you do have something that has a DVI port on it, okay. You'll need an adapter that has both HDMI 2.0 and Dual Link DVI on the other end. About the only differences between HDMI 1.4 and HDMI 2 are-increased resolution (1080 vs 4k, or so) and HDCP 2.2 which the adapter and the Mac mini must support, otherwise you won't get any picture at all. You can't mix stuff that supports HDMI 1.4 only and HDMI 2.0, ("Hi speed HDMI" ) especially with HDCP 2.2. It all has to support HDCP 2.2, all of it, or no picture. Of course this is video only, you'll have to find another way to get sound to where you need it, if you do need it. I have provided a link for illustration. There may be a cable out there that does this, but I couldn't find one with a dual link dvi, just single link. there may be one out there, but I couldn't find it. There are also displayport to dvi adapters out there as well.. if that helps
