This is the third year in a row my wife and I gift a 1 year subscription to Apple Music to family. There is no longer any way to do so. Where did it go? I can only either buy a generic gift card with a monitary value, or I am told I already subscribe to Apple Music and cannot purchase for someone else. Can someone please direct me to proper link to send a 1 year family subscription?

That is the way it is now organized. The Apple Music Gift Cards have been replaced with iTunes Store Gift Cards. It will give store credit to use for e.g. a subscription to Apple Music.
