Boot Camp partition became unbootable after changing Paragon NTFS settings

Hi everyone, hopefully you can help me out.

I installed Boot Camp with Windows 10 on my Late 2014 Mac Mini under Mojave. At the time I was running Paragon NTFS which had been working fine and continued to do so after the Boot Camp install. The one thing I noticed was that the bootcamp partition wasn't visible under System Preferences/Startup Disk so I wasn't able to launch bootcamp from there as I can on my High Sierra Macbook but no problem - I just hold option at boot and launch windows that way.

Yesterday I was in the Paragon NTFS preferences and I noticed that there was an option to mount the bootcamp partition as bootable (possibly worded differently - can't quite recall) which I selected. My bootcamp drive then appeared under system preferences/startup disk so I selected it and clicked restart.

I then got a black screen with "No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key"

I restarted the mac and held the option key and the only bootable partition that was appearing was my Mac OS one. Since then I've been trying desperately to fix this.

I've read some threads by LonerT. I've uninstalled Paragon NTFS but it hasn't helped. I think Paragon NTFS has screwed up my MBR but I'm a bit of a noob and my partition table seems a lot more complicated than what i've seen in other threads (possibly due to having a Fusion Drive?).

I've tried following some of the other threads but I'm lost. Any help?

Paragon and Apple NTFS drivers cause conflicts. The Apple driver will refuse to show any partitions controlled by a third-party driver. If you relinquish control of the partition from Paragon, the partition will show up in Finder and System Preferences. There are other potential corruption issues with two drivers racing for the partition. Unless you have external disks which require NTFS read/write support, Paragon NTFS is not very useful by itself.

I'm sorry I don't recall and I'm not sure how to tell the difference.

The 2014 Mini supports both BIOS and EFI modes. The default is BIOS on pre-Mojave. On Mojave, it should use EFI. The difference is visible by looking at the Windows BCD.

I'm not sure - I think so. Even if not, I've been running Mojave for a while now with Windows continuing to run ok until recently.

But with the limitations introduced by Paragon. Did you install Windows using a USB2 Flash drive? If yes, do you still have the USB. It can be used to boot and check the underlying Windows file system.

Hi again LT,

Yes Paragon NTFS was uninstalled by using the uninstaller in the preferences menu. I reset the smc by unplugging from power for 15 seconds and rebooting. I reset the NVRAM by holding command + option + P + R until a second chime was heard.

Bootcamp is visible in startup disks as seen above however is still not available at boot when holding the option key.
