Save and edit PDFs on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with the Books appSave or import a PDF
You can save a PDF from your email or a website into the Books app. You can also save an email or webpage as a PDF, import PDFs from other apps, or add PDFs to your Apple Books Library on your Mac.
Save a PDF file attached to an email or on a website
On your iOS device, tap the PDF to open it, then tap
. Swipe through the middle row, then tap Copy to Books.
Save an email or webpage as a PDF
- In the Mail app, tap an email, tap
, then tap Print.1 Press firmly on the preview to pop into it. Then tap
- In Safari, open a webpage and tap
Import a PDF from another app
Each third-party app is different. Steps might vary.
Look for an option to Share or
If you can't find anything like the above, look for an option to Print or AirPrint. Then follow the steps to save the PDF like you would for an email or webpage.
