Is there another way to access the orientation lock in ios 12 besides swiping from the top corner? The top of my screen is dead, so swiping there doesn't work for me. Hoping there's an alternative method.

If your iPad has sides switch, you can slide switch to work as the rotation lock ( or the mute switch. ) chances are since you’re iOS 12, it probably is only in older iPad models.
Go to settings- general- under “ use side switch to” select the option there.
