iBook reader

Is acrobat reader the only option for viewing books in iBooks? Can I use preview as the default? I don't care for adobe. Thanks in advance.

iMac, macOS Sierra (10.12.6)

You can change the default to Preview for viewing PDFs. If you're not sure how to just google it.
