The notch in iphone xs

I know that there is a dot projector, a flood illuminator, infrared scanner and front camera in the notch, should they be visible when I look at the notch? Or is this something wrong with my phone? I mean they are all working I guess, had no problems with face id or front camera but should I be able to aee them?
