I got sold and iPhone for about 200 dollars second hand and it has an Apple ID actication lock in it when I tried to contact the seller no1 answered then just went strait to voicemail so I’m thinking that it has been stolen I would just like to do the right thing so how do I go about returning the phone to its rightful owner ?
If it has an activation lock, only the previous owner can unlock it using their original credentials:

if you bought on eBay you have the ability to open a claim and start a return via eBay, other than that, sounds like you are going to have an iPhone that is only good as a paperweight or a movie or play prop. - Sorry
