High Monitor Resolution NOT on MacMini
I have a NEC 30" m onitor (LCD 3090WQXi) that I have used for years on my old Mac with 2560x1600 pixel resolution @60 Hz. It's not working on my new Mac Mini 2018 (Mojave 10.14.1). Here I only get max 1980x1080 and even for that I have to change the Monitor setting to scaled. Holding option key only brings up even lower resolutions.
Resetting VRam did not help. Deleting library>window file from whole Mac or from user did not help. Trying SwitchresX did not help either.
Changing cables and ports did not help. The monitor only has DVI-D input (dual link). I got several cables and adapters to connect DVI-D to HDMI or USB-C, cables that are rated for resolutions up to 4K.
All this did not help. I am stuck at a distorted 1980x1080
I had a chat with Apple support, even a call and screen sharing, without success.
