iPhone serial number starts with F?

If starts with F ,is it refurbished?COz I asked to apple support and they said there is no such thing.

That would be true if your "model" number starts with F.

Serial number can start with any letter or number.

My iPhone Xs Max serial number starts with an 'F' too, but it was bought brand new from an Apple store. So no, it does not mean it is refurbished.
