I got a message saying my phone number and Apple ID are being used for iMessage and FaceTime on a new ipad

I have not set up a new iPad. Why am

I getting this message? I have not signed into a new iPad either. I have an iPhone 6.

Apple ID being used on another iphone I have just turned on my iPhone and had a message saying my Apple ID and phone number now being used for iMessage and FaceTime on new iPhone. Very confused about this. Can anyone in the community throw some light on this for me please. I do have an iPad which I used recently whilst away / linking it through the iPhone but that was about 6 days ago.

Apple ID on new iPad I have had my Macbook, iPhone and iPad for years. I use my Apple ID on all three devices. Today I got a notice on my iPhone and Macbook saying that my Apple ID and phone number are now being used for iMessage and Facetime on a new iPad. It goes on to day that if I recently signed in to “my iPad” I can ignore this notification. Why did I get this message? Thanks. .....Mike.....
