Can I use the apple Giftcard for Applecare

Hi I want to buy a macbook and receive the apple gift card from Black Friday. I also want to buy applecare for it. Does it make sense to only buy the macbook receive the gift card and afterwards buy the applecare with the giftcard. Or is it not possible to but the applecare with the giftcard

Thanks for reminding me! Yes, there was absolutely no problem doing that. I just had to show them something with the order number on, and we clicked through where they could scan the codes and voila!

I just called Apple Support because I could not find how to pay for my AppleCare purchase with the Apple Gift Card I received when I bought my Macbook through the Black Friday deal. I was told it couldn't be done online but that I could do it at the Apple Store, without having to take my computer in. I'm going tomorrow. Stay tuned.
