fixing permissions after transfer

We just got a new iMac and transferred our old one via back up on migration assistant. It appeared to go well, except now there are multiple users (3 of the "same" person) and it looks like permissions are not being resolved. Help!

iMac, iOS 10, iMac (27-inch, Mid 2010)

What happened is that you did not migrate when you first booted up your Mac in Setup Assistant. You have 2 courses of action:

1. Start over. Wipe the hard drive and reinstall Mac OS, then do the migration when you are prompted in Setup Assistant.

2. If all 3 accounts have the same files and are all are Admin accounts, delete two of them.

macOS Sierra: Delete a user or group

(Same for Mojave)

Why are the permissions on the 3 accounts?
