Apple needs to make changes pop up

I have a MacBook Pro and "Apple wants to make changes" keeps popping up and wants me to put in my password. What's causing it and how do I make it stop? When it happens it pops up 3 times and then stops for a while and then does it again.

MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2018, 4 TBT3), iOS 12.0.1

Try Malwarebytes.

There is no reason to leave it installed once troubleshooting is finished. The free version doesn't update itself. If you need it again, you can download it again.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac 10.10 and later

Malwarebytes uninstall
