Keynote split screen

I have recently purchased a MacBook Pro and I am transitioning from using my iPad Pro, while preaching, to using the new MacBook Pro. My problem is while using the MacBook Pro with Keynote and GoodNotes in a split screen. When I go to play the Keynote it takes over the whole screen on both the MacBook and the tv behind me and eliminates the split screen so I can no longer see my notes in Good Notes, unlike my iPad which will keep the split screen open on the iPad but only show the keynote on the TV screen behind me. Any ideas, thank you.

MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017), iOS 12.1, null

Hi! I’ve been experiencing the dame difficulty and already submitted request of the feature on the apple feedback. Well in your case if you only need another screen to see the comments, luckily keynote can show presenter notes.

When you open Keynote presentation and go to View - Show presenter notes (Shift-Command-P) you will be able to put your notes under the slide.

To see notes when presentation is being played go to: Play - customize Presenter Display. Make sure the option Presenter Notes is ticked.

To check the final look: Play - Rehearse Slideshow.

Hope that helps
